Our story
Mitrelink was established in 2010 by K. Mitre in an effort to provide quality internet to the Salinas Valley.
Zavala Communications, LLC took over the operations of Mitrelink in an effort to continue to provide reliable and quality internet to those families in the Salinas Valley that are in the greatest need.
Zavala Communications was approved to participate in the Emergency Broadband Benefit, the predecessor to the current American Connectivity Program. This qualifying benefit enables Zavala Communications to continue to provide quality low cost internet service to the Salinas Valley.

Zavala Communications’ current CEO is Marcos Zavala.
Mr. Zavala has long ties to the Salinas Valley. He attended Bardin Elementry, El Sausal Middle School and gratuated from Alisal High.
After two years of Hartnell College he proudly joined the United States Air Force where he honed his skills in leadership, logistics and information technology to include networking. Mr. Zavala’s military tenure included multiple deployments in support of Operation Southern Watch, Operation Enduring Freedom and finally Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning multiple awards and decorations.
After ten years of honorable service, Mr. Zavala continued to service his country overseas as a contractor in support of Operation New Dawn and Enduring Freedom.
In 2015 Mr. Zavala was once again called upon to service his country in the National Capital Region for the Department of Defense.
